What Cardevia is used for
Cardevia lowers high blood pressure and helps your heart pump more easily. Your doctor may also prescribe it after a heart attack or for long-term heart failure.
How to take it
Take one 10 mg tablet once a day with a glass of water. Choose a time you can keep to every day. You can take it with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without speaking to your doctor.
Important warnings
Tell your doctor if you have asthma, diabetes, kidney or liver problems, or a slow heart rate. Your doctor may check your liver during the first three months.
Possible side effects
Common (1 in 10 people): tiredness, dizziness, headache, cold hands and feet. Uncommon: slow heartbeat, trouble sleeping, nausea. Rare: swelling of the face or throat.
Drug and food interactions
Speak to your pharmacist before taking Cardevia with other blood pressure medicines, insulin, ibuprofen, or grapefruit-based supplements.
Storage instructions
Store below 25 °C in the original package. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date on the carton.
Missed dose guidance
Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember, unless your next dose is due within 12 hours. Never take two tablets at once.
